Medicare Warning: Premiums Set to Double

The report projects that per‑person Medicare Part B premiums will rise from about $2,200 per year in the mid‑2020s to roughly $4,500 by 2035, driven largely by rapidly increasing program spending and continued overpayments to Medicare Advantage insurers.

"Plan Steve" foresees a day when the average Social Security payment is entirely consumed by Medicare premiums. Funding Medicare more from "general revenue" is a no-go, because ideology dictates that general revenue money be given to the "JCs" instead. Solution? Give the old phartz another lecture on "personal responsibility", or told to "respect traditional family values", and sponge off of their spawn.

Tribalism will see to it that Plan Steve comes true.

If the tribalism was shelved....

Red and Blue would both realize two things:

1.)A full on government take over isn't the end-all be all

But


2.)Slavish devotion to evil HMO companies and "free market" ideology where it comes to health care---is literally a killer.


And solutions can be crafted.

But ---- this is yet another reason why I've said - America's long term political trajectory is AOC-Sanders-ISM.

Maybe not today.

But it'll come.

If the tribalism was shelved....

Exactly right. As long as TPTB keep the Proles arguing about how to pray, and what gender someone is, the Proles are too busy to look up at who is pulling their strings.
