No comment on Paramount. (at least nothing polite)

But as to the starting quote, I always thought this was rather a silly narrative for the AOL deal. Why was it bad? From the point of view of AOL shareholders, it was one of the smartest deals in history. Lock in an unsustainably high valuation by swapping equity for an actual business.
