This will be interesting to watch play out, the current political system is all based on compromise and consensus, but Musk (and Vivek) are used to top-down directives which is more common in the business world. As these two worlds collide there could be a fair bit of collateral damage to the economy as government spending is impacted.

The president isn't the "CEO" of the economy, even if he wishes he were.

100% valid.

I have also been thinking the same thing.

First off, let's assume there isn't a big public nasty divorce between Trump and Elon --- I would NOT bet on that btw.

But let's say, they stay together.

I think Elon and Vivek will have some bad ideas, but some GREAT ones. The kind that campus-maggots, and Club 401K'ers re not capable of. BUT---- most cuts will involve fiefdoms. And REPUBLICAN lawmakers have their pets every bit as much as DEMOCRATS do. Who knows - the corrupt idiots might join forces to repel Elon and Vivek.

I frankly believe both men - are way too intelligent for government.
