Pete Hegseth’s Ex-Sister-in-Law Tells Senators He Was Abusive to Second Wife

In a sworn statement to the Senate, she said the secretary of defense nominee’s ex-wife once hid in a closet from him and had a safe word to call for help if she needed to get away from him.

I believe her for 2 reasons: 1) this fits with Hegseth's known behavior toward women; 2) why would she take this risk if she didn't feel strongly about it? She has to know she will be hounded, threatened and possibly physically attacked by Trump's followers.
