Weber State University has stripped the words “inclusion” and “equity” from its official mission statement to comply with the state’s anti-diversity law aimed at higher education.

Oh, Utah, my home state.

The sad thing is, though Utah has a lot of very far right whackos, the general populace is not as politically right wing as the government is. As has happened in North Carolina and other states, the Republican right has managed to dominate state politics through years of gerrymandering and using the primary system to push the state further and further to the right.

So you get silly bullshit like removing inoffensive words from public documents. It's all just performance and posturing.
