Top Trump Officials Are Moving Onto Military BasesStephen Miller, Marco Rubio, Kristi Noem, and others have taken over homes that until recently housed senior officers.
The Pentagon has ordered thousands of specialized National Guard personnel to complete civil unrest mission training over the next several months, an indication that the Trump administration’s effort to send uniformed military forces into urban centers — once reserved for extraordinary emergencies — could become the norm.
https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2025/...I think this administration will find a way to get what they want: something they can call 'civil unrest'...either because they have pushed the citizens of this country to the point of rebellion, or more likely they will just manufacture a false flag operation.
This will open all the avenues to repression and control.

I have the same concern -- though I'm not sure "coup" only because Trump is old - and potential successors are also manpipulate back biters obsessed with their own power.
U have always said "Hunger Games" is the destiny for huge swaths of Americans.
And looking ahead - "AI" job losses. Debt bubbles. Currency issues. Health insurance potentially not affordable. Things like SNAP being political footballs to play with. Culture decline. Guns. "I'm Sheeple, I dont like Putin. I want me my big war" and possible conscription;.
There are realistic reasons why martial law would be needed ......
Isn't it great that Americans - Blue, Red, Green, Maga, Trans, all of us are *so* united, and we're sending a message that says "Hey, JD, Marco....Donnie, Eric, Kristi.....Dad is gonna be gone soon and We the People will refuse to vote for you and we'll insist on tribunals for you"
So dont worry, we're a united nation - one nation under God. We wont let his happen.
Hahahahahahaha

None of them are contenders. From the Google net sifter:
Sean Hannity is more popular than J.D. Vance when comparing their consistent media reach and audience size. Hannity's television show on Fox News consistently draws millions of viewers nightly, making it one of the most-watched programs in cable news.
J.D. Vance, as a political figure (currently the Vice President as of October 2025), has high visibility, but his "popularity" is measured differently, typically through public opinion and favorability ratings, which have shown mixed results and periods of being "underwater" (more unfavorable than favorable). While a major event like the 2024 Vice Presidential debate featuring Vance drew a large, one-time audience of over 43 million viewers, Hannity's consistent weeknight audience (averaging around 3-4 million viewers) and broader media presence represent a larger, more sustained reach in the public consciousness.
In essence:
Sean Hannity has a larger, more consistent audience base through his daily media platform.
J.D. Vance has significant name recognition due to his high-ranking political position, but his overall public approval ratings are lower than the large viewership numbers for Hannity's show.
Bring on another bellowing racist. That is what the mob wants.

Assuming the No Kings protests in the USA actually totalled 7 million adults (doubtful), that represents about 2.5% of the total adult population of the United States.
Now, 7 million people certainly is more than enough to sustain onesself immersed in a Progressive echo chamber, both in real life and on social media.
But the viewpoints represent the most leftward and radical fringe in American politics.
No Kings was not only NOT popular, it wasn't even within the polling margin of error.

marco100: No Kings was not only NOT popular, it wasn't even within the polling margin of error.
The No Kings rallies were the most well-attended single-day protests in U.S. history. To suggest otherwise is to ignore reality.

1poorlady is betting that the Felon will declare martial law before 2028. He's already inventing emergencies ("Portland is burning!"). She lived through the Marcos take-over, and that's basically how he did it. She thinks the Felon is taking a page from his playbook. She doubts we'll have another POTUS election while the Felon is living, and maybe not after.

Who do you all hope for to be the next President, or appointed Ruler?
Marco? Ivanka? Eric? Don Jr? JD?
Which of them do you feel would be more lenient and merciful towards all of us?

(putting MAGA hat on)
"lenient and merciful" is for weaklings! We want a strong leader! Someone who puts the others in their place. Watch Hannity shout down anyone with a different viewpoint. That is what we want!
(removing MAGA hat)
Fact is, 3M people watch his show regularly. Would anyone pay any attention to JD, or the spawn, if they were not within Trump's orbit?

Ok well let's hope for our new Ruler to be a nice man, who probably has our best interests at heart.

It’s apples to oranges to some extent, but:
The largest single Tea Party rally was the Taxpayer March on Washington in 2009, with estimates of its attendance ranging from tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands, although precise figures are disputed. A more conservative estimate places the cumulative number of people who attended various Tea Party protests across hundreds of cities at over 311,000, according to statistician Nate Silver.
And yet those 311,000 Tea Partiers had quite the impact on American politics.
7,000,000 people is more that 20 times that number……… these aren’t just “voters”. Most importantly, from this number will come the foot soldiers- the door knockers, the callers, the facebook flooders, the neighborhood organizers and campaign party hosters.

Sheeple and Trump....
Both unconcerned with roots of problems and real solutions.
Both obsessed with crowd size.
Baaaaaaaaaaaaa
(And both refuse to endorse Mamdani...one out of politics. one out of consistent gutlessIsm.)
