Seems Trump the God Awful has given up on Canada.

Trump, 79, eyes new country to become 51st US state

According to Fox News correspondent John Roberts, the president wants to make the South American nation the 51st state.

“Just got off the phone with @realDonaldTrump... he told me he is seriously considering a move to make Venezuela the 51st state...” Roberts posted on X Monday morning.

MAGA would be horrified. They aren't white, and they don't speak English. And, really, MAGA is only making common cause with Catholics as long as they are useful.

Maybe Trump the Magnificent would stitch Puerto Rico, Cuba, and Venezuela into a Spanish speaking territory, safe from burdensome US regulations, but no immigration to the US allowed.

In Trump's addled mind, Putin and MBS are great leaders because they have absolute power over their countries. He wants to be like them. They happen to be the rulers of petro-states, so he'll do anything to turn the U.S. into a petro-state.

Machado was on Amanpour tonight. She was doing her very best to have full confidence in the good intentions of Trump the Conqueror, and "free and fair" elections will be held in Venezuela.

Amanpour was giving off some very skeptical body language.

After the interview, Amanpour reported that, only minutes later, Trump was quoted as wanting to make Venezuela a USian state.

I want to say we've become a pedocracy, but that word apparently has a prior interpretation as a slur against democrats. From https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Pedocrat#English
