Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said on “The Master Investor” podcast on Thursday that the U.S. Navy would begin escorting vessels through the Strait of Hormuz “as soon as it is militarily possible.” He added that the Trump administration had been planning for such a scenario for months. —New York Times

I'd like to see Resting-Smirk-Face Scotty and Whiskey-Sour Pete set an example for the world by standing on the bridge of the first few escort ships to go through the canal.
