Coffee drinkers are in for a jolt long before their first sip...

Retail coffee prices in the United States in August jumped a whopping 21% compared to the same month last year — the largest annual jump since October 1997, according to the latest Consumer Price Index,
released Thursday. On a monthly basis, coffee prices rose 4%, the most in 14 years.

One of the most heavily-tariffed countries is Brazil, which is the United States’ top source for coffee. Brazilian imports face 50% tariffs, among the highest that the US levies on any country’s goods,
because of Trump’s anger over the trial and recent conviction of former Authoritarian/Fascist President Jair Bolsonaro, a Trump ally.

Also just in: The U.S. Dollar has now lost more than 10% of its value this year. America is getting Trumped. :(

I wasn't correlating union raises to price hikes.

I wanted a double whammy - coffee prices rise. Wages rise. 401K Liberals and their greedy asses pay a little bit more --not just for the drink but returns on investments.

Yes, the higher cost of union labor will be passed to consumers - and I want Starbucks consumers to pay more.

And shareholders to get a bit less.

I have been to Starbucks *maybe* three or four times in my life. So, couldn't care.

Generally, I buy my coffee when it is on sale, and I stock up. It is on sale NOW. LOL !!!

Coffee prices will eventually come down.

Can't say the same about chocolate prices.
