Yeah I know. Why would they listen to me I googled it and they don't listen well to others either.
But part of "MAGA" is not appreciating when others talk about American affairs.
The fairly elected Mayor of NYC has made some changes and Israel is hollering "anti semitism".
Hey, Israel, let the Mayor govern. If NYC doesn't like him they'll vote him out.
The words "shut up" are words you maybe need to get more at ease hearing from time to time. Maybe even "no" if you really want to get extra credit.
Unlike Club 401K Sheeple - I am consistent. I won't say that I don't like Europeans commenting on internal American happenings but then be quiet for Israel.
Bigger picture - WTF does NYC have to have all this Israel stuff as part of their rules and government anyway? Why not Russia? Bangladesh? Brazil?

From one of the US' leading lights:
GOP senator says 'enemy is inside the gates' as Mamdani takes office
Alabama Sen. Tommy Tuberville was referring to Mamdani's swearing-in on a Quran. The Council on American-Islamic Relations has documented a history of anti-Muslim statements from him.https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2026/...If Tuberville said that about a Jewish person, a howl would rise from coast to coast, and he would be driven from office. But saying it about a Muslim is perfectly fine.

I agree with your post but to be consistent....
Let's take everything Liberals say about Christians, change "Christian" to Muslim....loudly broadcast the new statement and attribute it specifically to a building in France, or a school in Germany, or a Whole Foods in San Fran. Maybe even burn a Quran but make sure the world knows it was some European or Liberal entity doing it.
That---is an idea that needs a home for sure.
In the meantime - where's that Sissy Mary Salman Rushdie. Hope his insurance was good.

Maybe even burn a Quran Quran burning is "protected free speech" in Shinyland.
This Quran burner kept trying to provoke incidents, until the city of Dearborn had to cancel it's Arab Festival.

Since when? The last I heard, a case made it to SCOTUS (probably 15 years ago), and they declared that as protected free speech.
It will rile-up a large segment of the population, but it is not illegal.

Used to rile me up.
Not any longer.
Mind you I'd rather spend time on helping people dodge taxes, and respecting people who refuse military service going forward.

PROSECUTING BURNING OF THE AMERICAN FLAG
Executive Orders August 25, 2025
Notwithstanding the Supreme Court’s rulings on First Amendment protections, the Court has never held that American Flag desecration conducted in a manner that is likely to incite imminent lawless action or that is an action amounting to “fighting words” is constitutionally protected. See Texas v. Johnson, 491 U.S. 397, 408-10 (1989).
My Administration will act to restore respect and sanctity to the American Flag and prosecute those who incite violence or otherwise violate our laws while desecrating this symbol of our country, to the fullest extent permissible under any available authority.https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/20...Steve

Pretty sure an EO doesn't overrule a court ruling. It basically says that with "fullest extent permissible". It's not permissible to prosecute, per previous rulings.
At most, this is an attempt to get the issue in front of SCOTUS again.

Read the full EO. They intend to use any law or city ordinance they can find, like starting a fire without a permit, to prosecute anyone who "desecrates" the flag.

Tuberville is a limpdick fuckface.
Jews have endured pogroms, the holocaust, and the nonstop campaign against Israel, a nation where they can defend themselves. My first flight back to Europe happened to land me in Munich while Black September was slaughtering Jews at the summer olympics. It was my first taste, first hand, of a reality Jews have faced for a long long time.
9/11 and hundreds of attacks by muslims on non-muslims around the world are getting realllly old. Then there's that river to the sea thing and the Hamas attack on Israel a couple years ago. Hamas is rearming and regrouping.
So yeah, if Tuberville the limpdick fuckface said that about Jews, a howl from coast to coast would not be out of line.

Didn't Trump sign some executive order about flag burning?
Yep:
https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/20...Here's how they justify this attack on free speech.
Section 1. Purpose. Our great American Flag is the most sacred and cherished symbol of the United States of America, and of American freedom, identity, and strength. Over nearly two-and-a-half centuries, many thousands of American patriots have fought, bled, and died to keep the Stars and Stripes waving proudly. The American Flag is a special symbol in our national life that should unite and represent all Americans of every background and walk of life. Desecrating it is uniquely offensive and provocative. It is a statement of contempt, hostility, and violence against our Nation — the clearest possible expression of opposition to the political union that preserves our rights, liberty, and security. Burning this representation of America may incite violence and riot. American Flag burning is also used by groups of foreign nationals as a calculated act to intimidate and threaten violence against Americans because of their nationality and place of birth.
Notwithstanding the Supreme Court’s rulings on First Amendment protections, the Court has never held that American Flag desecration conducted in a manner that is likely to incite imminent lawless action or that is an action amounting to “fighting words” is constitutionally protected. All of which - should not have happened and shouldn't happen.
But - it's curious how in totally different eras, by totally different people-s one group keeps having to endure all that shit.
Me? If it kept happening to me? At every workplace, every school, every spouse, every friend, over and over and over?
I'd wonder if it's time to change my aftershave......
Because I'd realize that people don't just wake up and say "let's see, today, did I make ham and eggs, or do I exterminate a whole group of people"

Yeah...I don't think that works. It's not federal. A city ordinance is exactly that: a city ordinance. The federal can't prosecute a city ordinance. Now, the city could do it if it were populated with a bunch of trumpies. The federal would not have jurisdiction.
If a city did prosecute, it would likely end up at the SCOTUS eventually as a free speech issue. Which, as I said before, is probably what they want.

They can prosecute anything they want. The regime might lose in court, and in every appeal, but they would drive the flag burner into bankruptcy from legal expenses.
Besides, regimes like this don't rule by law. They rule by intimidation and bullying.

That is true. Based on a Frontline I saw about the Felon, everyone who knew/knows him says he is a bully. Even in military school, he was a bully. Why would we expect any difference in his governance.
But I don't think the defendant would need counsel. He could just request a bench judgment (or something like that) where the judge rules instantly without an actual trial because the charge is unlawful (e.g. no jurisdiction). That's like 5 minutes in court.

On second thought, Qatar’s lobbying efforts in the Trump White House, including the gifting of a bejeweled 747, may have already established some measure of Qatari rule in this country.

This qualifies as the stupidest and most bigoted post on the US Policy board so far this year. But the year is young and I know we will see much stupider and more bigoted stuff yet to come.
