So the Felon doesn't want someone who might do that. Just softballs, please.

The White House press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, said on Tuesday that the Trump administration would start handpicking which media outlets were allowed to participate in the presidential pool, the small, rotating group of journalists who relay the president’s day-to-day activities to the public.

The change announced by Ms. Leavitt breaks decades of precedent. The White House Correspondents’ Association, a group representing journalists who cover the administration, has long determined on its own which reporters would participate in the daily pool.

That model may have worked in decades past, bit these days, a lot of people get their news from social media and to exclude all of them because of some ancient tradition is unfair and incomplete. I am pleased that Trump is giving other voices a chance to be heard. The White House Correspondents’ Association does not o3n the venue.

If they want to add some, fine. But "hand-picked" at least implies that they will exclude anyone they don't like, and include ones they do like. I'm betting the "failing New York Times" won't be among the "hand picked". The advantage of having a press corps is that you get representatives from several sources asking questions. If you hand pick, of course you're going to omit the ones that ask the uncomfortable questions. That's just human nature, really. Not even specific to the Felon.

I also think we should start the British practice of the POTUS (prime minister) going before the legislative body to answer very pointed questions. As I understand it, the PM has no choice. It is a required duty. I forget now how often they have to do it. I could go for it every 60 days.
