We may never know the answer but if Dems hadn't spent 1-2 weeks of news cycle piling on Biden, AND Dems would've made it a simple choice "Elect Biden, save your abortion rights and social security, elect Trump, wave your flag and see you in the back alley with with doctors doing abortion and your Mom's social security check shredded".....methinks, they'd have won.

OK. I know nothing about political strategizing, unlike albaby, for example.

Democrats piled on Biden because the whole country saw what an awful, weak, old, horrible, senile candidate he is. Before the debate I didn't hear a lot of Dems complaining. Clearly his unfitness to lead and govern was kept under wraps.

I was willing to entertain the thought that maybe it was just one bad night. Biden was surprisingly good during the post-NATO-summit news conference. But then Clooney and others came out and spoke the truth about his decline.

Add to that the fact that Trump has promised me the world and Biden doesn't seem to make any promises. None that I know of. He just keeps talking about how Trump is an awful choice. That's really not enough to get my vote.
