...for calling up FIFA and leaning on them to delay the suspension of Folarin Balogun for today's match with Belgium.

Belgium, is of course big mad about it as their appeal was *denied*.

The Midas Touch, spreading corruption to everything he touches. And he's proud of it, no less.

The Midas Touch, spreading corruption to everything he touches. And he's proud of it, no less.

1. It was a bullsh1t red card.
2. If you think FIFA - or any of the european-led sports orgs like the IOC are lily white and pure as the driven snow, LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL.

3. Go USA!

Normally I can't stand the MLS version of soccer. Every play is somebody taking a dive and/or faking an injury only to sprint away the second the ref tells them no foul. But the World Cup is played with actual passion and players play through contact. Much, much better.

Trump and Infantino found each other. Together, they have potential to surpass their own records.

1. It was a bullsh1t red card.

No, it wasn't. Did you bother to watch the video, or do you prefer "alternative facts"? In any case, the decision of the ref on the field is final. And the tournament regulations give an *AUTOMATIC* suspension for the next game to any player who is ejected. There is no discretion. Trump's intervention will taint the USA team forever.

2. If you think FIFA - or any of the european-led sports orgs like the IOC are lily white and pure as the driven snow, LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL.

Yeah they're corrupt. That's no reason for celebration and no excuse for doubling down on the corruption.

3. Go USA!

Sure, but if they win there will always be a stain on this win. Just like everyone remembers Maradona's 1986 "Hand of God" goal. You probably have no clue what I'm talking about.

1. It was a bullsh1t red card.

I agree it was a bad call, but that is irrelevant. That’s how sports work.

Hell, when I watch the Bills play I think the refs make bad calls all the time. Oh, boo hoo.

The president has the time to grift billions from Americans, start wars, and interfere in a sports game, but he doesn’t have the time to make policies to lower inflation, create jobs, make sure Americans have affordable health insurance, lower the cost of gas, diesel fuel, and fertilizer, to create affordable housing, bring the cost of food down, or make it easier for Americans to vote.

Now THATS BULLSHIT!

Yes, it was. FIFA applied Rule 27.

Clearly you’re either a Belgium fan or severely triggered by the thread title. Not my problem either way.

Even under Rule 27, it was an unprecedented call.

But you know MAGA, always the victim.

Everyone else knows it’s just plain unsportsmanlike.

Naturally, Trump’s legendary, encyclopedic wealth of football acumen was exactly what FIFA needed to finally see the light. His deep, lifelong tactical understanding of a 4-4-2 diamond completely revolutionized the governing body's perspective on VAR mechanics.

FIFA was so utterly awestruck by this sudden masterclass in sports science that their entire legal department suffered collective amnesia, entirely forgetting that official rulings usually require things like 'reasons' or 'justifications' before you radically rewrite the tournament rulebook.

Great. You alone among your leftie running buddies seems to have eyes and can understand that it was a bad call.

The other thing the soccer geniuses here don’t seem to be aware of is that this sort of thing is not without precedent. I’m surprised the Supa Fanz didn’t get that.

Besides, it's obvious FIFA is desperate to stroke Trump. The "peace prize" was only the start.

No, it was evident.

Here, let’s drop this so the board learns something:

https://time.com/article/2026/07/05/common-sense-p...

Still, the red made little sense. But FIFA realized it got it wrong and corrected the error. Balogun is under a year-long probationary period: If he commits another similar infraction, the suspension is back and he may receive even further harsh penalties. Article 27 does have precedent. It was used to defer the final two games of Cristiano Ronaldo’s three-match ban following a World Cup-qualifier red card, to make him fully eligible at the start of the World Cup. Nicolás Otamendi, of Argentina, and Ecuadoran midfielder Moisés Caicedo had one-game bans deferred for red cards in qualifiers, which also permitted them to play in World Cup opening matches.

Tell me, board: most people genuinely like sports and are knowledgeable about the ones they follow. Is the love of “football” yet another performance art for libs?

Ultimately the only thing Trump cares about is honor. But as a psychopath, he can't tell the difference between seizing honor and earning it.

Balogun should rise to the occasion and demonstrate the honor that Trump and Infantino lack, reject the reversal, and abide by the original red card call. His Team would understand and be motivated to win going forward.
