Dementia Don gave a doozy of a speech at the Black Conservative Federation Gala yesterday. He told the audience:
"And then I got indicted a second time, and a third time, and a fourth time... and then a lot of people said that that's why the Black people like me because they've been hurt so badly and discriminated against. And they actually viewed me as being discriminated against. [Trump laughs here -- but then don't we all?]
It's actually been pretty amazing."Well, sure, lots of Blacks are out on bail under 91 felony indictments in four jurisdictions after insulting and threatening judges, jurors, and witnesses; happens all the time. And they all have $50 million they bilked from Grannies on Social Security to pay their army of attorneys.
Trump also brought up his mug shot:
“You know who embraced it more than anybody else?” Mr. Trump asked the crowd. “The Black population.”Well, sure, the entire Black population has mug shots.
Trump then observed that the lights are so bright he often cannot see the audience:
"These lights are so bright in my eyes that I can't see too many people out there... but I can only see the Black ones. I can't see any white ones, you see. That's how far I've come. That's a long way isn't it?"As others have commented, that statement would get you fired in most organizations and had president Biden said it, "a million headlines and op-eds would explode like stars birthing a new galaxy."
Michelle Botelho, a republican candidate for CT05, used her cell phone to record the enthusiastic crowd of, well, umm, err, mostly white people at the Black Conservative Federation Gala.
But, sure, I can see why the Black community would flock to a guy who was sued for discriminating against potential Black tenants, repeatedly claimed Barack Obama was not an American citizen, lunched with White Nationalists, pandered to white supremacists in Charlottesville, suggested vice president Harris did not meet the requirements to run for vice president, and still thinks the Central Park Five should be in prison or executed.
