Gates Foundation to get all the dough before switcherooo?

***

Most of us know that Buffett is very non-confrontational. He should have severed ALL ties with Gates many years ago, but he didn't. In his mind, removing the Gates F from his gifting, after he passes was enough punishment.

You may be seeing things that are not there, to fit a preconceived notion or bias. When did Buffett ever say he'd donate to the Gates Foundation after his death? In Buffett's June 26, 2006, letter to Mr. and Mrs. William H. Gates III, he wrote the following:

Dear Bill and Melinda:

I greatly admire what the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (“BMG”) is accomplishing and want to materially expand its future capabilities. Accordingly, by this letter, I am irrevocably committing to make annual gifts of Berkshire Hathaway “B” shares throughout my lifetime for the benefit of BMG.

In June 2024, Buffett reiterated to the Wall Street Journal, "The Gates Foundation has no money coming after my death."
