The British have a tradition (law?) that the PM has to go before the press(?), or maybe the Parliament, and answer questions. I think that would be good here, too. Then POTUS can't choose a favorable audience, or a favorite outlet. He/she has to field questions from everyone, and I'm sure that some would not be lobbing softballs.
The convict sort of did that last week, and left in a huff because they weren't lobbing softballs at him. I think any POTUS should have to endure that (and not be allowed to walk out before time is up).
Much better than prepared speeches and staged rallies. Even the SOTU speech is a prepared and tailored speech, usually without a lot of substance.

If you’re a fan of this sort of thing, watch Canada’s Parliament. The Trudeau vs. Pierre Pollieve battles are great.

In my lifetime -= Bill Clinton is the only one who could survive and thrive for Prime Minister's Questions as they do in the UK.
None of the others could come close.

He's been somewhat coached by Obama.
The good part about that is the world continues to be America's inferior, America's student, America's dependent.
Damn right, our Presidents, our political strategists *will* have a say in your country's politics. Your countries can't wipe their own butts without the USA nor can you have a car, a plane, a cell phone, and the plethora of Pharma products you mooches get.
Here's to Obama on this one. Not my favorite President but nevertheless, it's good other leaders have America's hand of guidance - and discipline. From London to Paris to Berlin .... bow down you poodles.
Love it.
