Well, no, because that wasn't really the question. I wasn't trying to solicit your views on abortion - as you point out, we've covered that a lot.

I was just trying to talk about how you would respond to a proposed bill that contained something you approve of (the current version of the Born Alive Abortion Survivor Protection Act) and something you thought was awful (a provision legalizing abortion in all the red states). That happens all the time in Congress. Most bills don't just do one thing. So you get a bill that would do both X and Y, and you support X but vehemently oppose Y. What do you do?

I was asking whether you would vote for that bill or not. If it had the BAASPA provisions (which you support) and also had a provision that barred red states from restricting abortion, could you vote for it?
