That's the gist of Trump's comment outside the courtoom. Our country's gone to hell, we have a divided mess. Our country is in decline, serious decline... This is long from over.
He will obviously appeal and under no circumstance will see a prison cell in at least multiple months. He is absolutely now hell-bent on winning re-election so he can try to somehow escape this. But this was a STATE charge, not a FEDERAL charge. His current opponent for the 2024 race had literally NOTHING to do with this.
He's right. This is long from over. Now we will see how much further the true believers can dig into an alternate reality to try to get him back in power. It's going to be a very dark summer and fall in the United States.
It's also telling to note that it seems The People have no trouble judging the facts in difficult, unprecedented legal situations posed by a criminal President. The only people that seem to have difficulty handling these matters are in the thoroughly corrupted judiciary dominated by appointments over the last 20 years from fanatical, ultra-conservative ranks.

Imagine what the partisan talking heads on FOX 'news' will be saying.

trump's post-case rant avoided disparaging the jury that actually found him guilty, due to continuation of the gag order.
am a bit concerned for them, in that MAGA+GOP is in full dox mode even after the sentencing phase.
although 32 guilty verdicts are for lessor crimes, kudos to DA bragg for avoiding tripping up on technicalities and even any appearance of questionable ethics. w/out him, there would have only been significant delays on every single criminal case.
(wondering if even the appeal bond for fraud will be decisively settled before november)
somehow we are in a permanent mode where many dont understand civics, yet are convinced their vote is so important that it over-rides any\all crimes.
