Texas Republicans Unveil Gerrymandered House Map, Trying to Please Trump

The proposed map would give Republicans a chance to gain five U.S. House seats, including in Houston, Dallas and along the U.S.-Mexican border.

I don't think deliberately disenfranchising voters is good for democracy.

The don't want democracy. That's the point that most people seem to miss. They want one-party rule. They have no interest in democracy.

Similar to the old USSR. As I recall, the USSR had "elections". There was one name on the ballot, and the count was always unanimous.

Let's see if the courts do their job and declare the map illegal/null.
