Hello VIIIandXX,
I'm fairly sure that dropping into a thread to call other posters 'sick' and 'losers' who 'secretly jerk off to Trump' is against the rules and spirit of this forum, and is likely to drive people away from participating here, so please stop behaving that way right now.
About your claims: I didn't express any views on whether Trump is good or bad, whether I like him or dislike him. It's a thread that has moved onto the issues around AI and filtering, not a thread about politics.
Being able to control / balance a news feed so it contains news that matters to you, is a good thing, it's going to be one of the most important uses of AI - as a filter, to cut down spam and overwhelming sources of news.
My post was not a political comment about the man or his politics, it's simply the most well-known example of something that overwhelms the news in 2026, something every person here will be immediately familiar with. A certain politician says a lot of things, and it drowns out all the other news where I live, particularly local news, even though 99% of what he says and does doesn't affect us.
I'll provide a concrete example to demonstrate the point. Three months ago, CNN reported that a certain world leader had made announcements to the press that a deal with Iran was imminent, on a total of 37 different occasions (as of June 2026)*. And that's just one issue/topic. There are nights where this particular source of news has posted more global-news-capturing random announcements in a single evening, than some global leaders achieve in their entire term.
I often encounter people who would prefer a quieter and more local news feed, regardless of whether they share any US politicians views or not.

PS. no apostrophe in 'haters', please - needles's apostrophe's are painful for the eye's.
