Now they're starting to get into stuff that even Reps care about. Climate change and DEI? They don't give a rip, or actively oppose. But state health services?? I'll bet a lot of the people affected will be Rep voters. AK is pretty red, and they're going to be hit hard...for example.

While initially authorized during COVID, Congress has continued the funding and directed it to other purposes. I expect a lawsuit based on the fact that Congress already authorized the spending.

The Trump administration’s cancellations of grants and contracts throughout the government has led to numerous lawsuits from states and nonprofit groups, which are still in their early stages. The health grants in question were authorized and appropriated by Congress, and their termination may lead to new lawsuits. Several states said they were exploring legal options.

Yours truly has said well before this: My side seems hell bent on giving this to Democrats.

The 2026 Congress win by Dems IMO is no big deal.

2028 is what I'm interested in. I feel the Right is dying to have a Democratic President, there's NO other reason we'd be screwing with these things. That being the case:

1.)Small win by Dems. Woo hoo! We beat Trump! We rule! Vance sent packing! Woo hoo! And then, due to the typical Club 401K they/them stuff, spend 4 years hoping to outsmart some Red State Senator and get a bit done.

OR

2.)The right message. One that is beyond the 401K'ers. The right candidate - one that can truly run in 50 states.

A nice win, realistically 54% or so but one that can bring aboard 6-7 GOP Senators and have grand bargains on anything from Social Security to Medicare to AI and the labor force.

I'm so impatient to see which one it is. At this point even I can't call that one.
