Dear Brain:

As you will recall, the first time I saw "BN" and "BAM" in the same sentence -- maybe around 2010, plus or minus a few years -- the 20% of you I was devoting to reading that newspaper said, oh look - Barnes and Noble is merging with Books-A-Million

I read the article, immediately corrected you (me) from that misapprehension, and presumed I'd moved on with our life.

But, no, brain: you still do that to me. Every. Single. Time. Making the last few days' Berkshire Hathaway thread more bandwidth-intensive than it needed to be.

So knock it off, or I'm cutting off the dopamine for awhile. No cookies or hot chocolate.

Brains are indeed funny.

Every evening we prepare the coffee maker for the morning, and every evening my brain tells my finger "Start the coffee!" when we're done with the prep. Every evening.
