Debunking intelligent design in 10 sentences:
1) I have to wear glasses because my eyes suck by design
2) My knees hurt because they suck by design
3) My back hurts because it sucks by design
4) I have to cut my nails because they grow much faster than they are used… because they suck by design
5) I have to cut my hair because it keeps growing and gets in the way because, you guessed it, it sucks by design
6) I have to brush my teeth every day because they suck by design
7) I have to wear clothes because my designer didn’t design a way for me to heat up enough
8)I have to sit in a car for hours to get to work because the perfect cteation cannot fly for some reason
9) I have to hold my breath underwater because the perfect creation doesn’t have gills on a planet that’s mostly water
10) I have to wear a helmet, gloves and safety boots at work because my healing factor sucks by design
Bonus: I cannot breathe around guinea pigs because I’m alergic to them. Because guess what? I suck by design.
And that’s just me, a single Homo sapiens. There are plenty of bad design examples in nature. So what’s the conclusion? God is either very bad at their job or they’re not real. Have a good day

I refer anyone who is seriously interested in an explanation of the origin of life to "The Vital Question" by Nick Lane. It goes into exquisite detail but I must warn you, is quite technical.

As in abiogenesis? Last I knew, we weren't quite sure how that bit happened. Everything after that was evolution and natural selection, as has been pretty well established (scientists don't like to say "proven", but for all practical purposes for lay-people, it is proven).
Not a biologist, but I would be interested in the 'cliff notes' about it (abiogenesis).

There is compelling evidence for many of the steps required in abiogenesis, from the development of membranes chemical gradients across them to the appearance of cellular organelles. Some holes in steps are expectedly present.
All this slow evolution of life reportedly took place in alkaline vents on the sea floor, not once, but twice! Once for bacteria and once for archea.
