On "Truth Social", today.

Because I have invoked FAVORED NATIONS STATUS FOR THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, DRUG PRICES ARE FALLING AT LEVELS NEVER SEEN BEFORE, 500%, 600%, 700%, and more. No other President has been able to do this, BUT I HAVE! This is also the answer to much less expensive, and far better, HEALTHCARE! Republicans, remember, this was done by us, and nobody else. This is a revolution in medicine, the biggest and most important event, EVER. If this story is properly told, we should win the Midterm Elections in RECORD NUMBERS. I AM THE AFFORDABILITY PRESIDENT. TALK LOUDLY AND PROUDLY! President DJT

Time stamped 8:17am. I'm surprised he was awake that early.

Surely someone has told him this is pure idiocy? Or are all the sycophantic suckups afraid to point out the truth to Donny?

It's beyond ludicrous that he keeps making this moronic statements, but I guess he knows his MAGA followers can't understand basic math.

What's the Democrat Party plan to save enhanced ACA subsidies? Don't know.

Who's in charge of making it happen? No one.

Same ol same ol.

What are you guys waiting for?

Saving the ACA subsidies was the #1 issue, what is being done about it?

Stop dunking on Trump and spooging.

Tell us how you are going to save the ACA.

Tell us how you are going to save the ACA.

Don't "save" a flawed system that was designed to benefit the insurance industry. Replace it with a national heath program, funded by a VAT, so people aren't dependent on the good will of a "JC" to have medical insurance. Presto: the US saves $3T/year on health care, and the insurance company paper shufflers can go out and find a job that is actually productive.

You underscore the most important aspect of what faces us.

Restoration of the republic will mean more than simply returning to BT (Before Trump).

Biden even unwittingly gave us a name for the task ahead: “Build Back Better”, though that motto is probably freighted with too much baggage to be useful.

But there’s been so much damage, we really don’t have a choice but to build back “better” if we want to make it more difficult for the “few” to dictate terms to the “many”.

We foolishly thought we had a bulletproof system of checks and balances, of guardrails.

We didn’t.

Pastor,

Why the delusional melodrama?

"Restore our republic"--excuse me, it's alive and well. Didn't we just have a free and fair election earlier this month? Did you miss that?

"Guardrails"--what is a "guardrail"? No such thing, it's something you've been brainwashed into believing is a "thing" by MSM and the Dem/Progressive psyops campaign.

It's great because mantras like "saving democracy," "restore our republic," "guardrails" are completely undefined, so each person can imagine they mean whatever they want to mean (usually: TRUMP SUCKS!!!!)

Show me where the Constitution talks about "guardrails."

Define "guardrails" and tell me when that definition was passed into law in any jurisdiction state or federal in the United States.

You can't because it's a delusion.

Checks and balances: They are still humming along quite nicely. They haven't disappeared just because you don't like the outcome. Example: Schumer tried to Shutdown the Government but 8 Democrat Senators along with 52 Republicans checked and balanced Schumer.

So, they work just fine.

One of the reasons I read you, marco, is to be reminded of the utter unreality of the far-right

Pastor W,

you cite the "utter unreality of the far right."

Did we not just get out of a 43 day government shutdown promoted by Schumer, via checks and balances? I.e. 8 sane Democrat Senators deciding to do the responsible thing and checking and balancing Schumer by voting to reopen along with 52 Republicans?

That's a healthy republic at work.

The sickness you see is in your own mind, which you are projecting onto the world around you.

Also, you didn't define what you mean by "guardrails."

You're a very slippery character, Rev.

“We foolishly thought we had a bulletproof system of checks and balances, of guardrails.”

We realized many “guardrails” were simply conventions during Trump’s first term. There were books written about it at the time.

Yet, here we are again. Democrats had full control and what did they do to strengthen our democracy?

They enabled a second Trump term. They put up candidates that were so unappealing, that more voters preferred a second Trump term. They knew what he was, and they voted for it. I don’t blame the voters.

AdrianC,

"Guardrails" is just one of the Left's psyops words. It's completely vague and meaningless.

I've never heard anyone define it, nor have I heard anyone explain who decided which guardrails apply when, and to whom, and under what authority those decisions were made.

If you can give it a crack, please educate me.

Ya. It's flimsy. We seem to enact laws to prevent a disaster from happening again, then we slowly dismantle those laws till the next disaster happens. No one likes regulation, but the people whith real influence there are not the proles, eh? And we can enact laws to prevent stacking the justices in the Supreme court and they'll dismantle those. And then the Supremes dismantle laws that protect. A helluva way to run a railroad.

Pork Chop,

What's a "guardrail"? Please define it. Dope1 provided his definition, but I suspect you wouldn't agree with his.

We realized some “guardrails” were simply conventions during Trump’s first term.

Fixed that for you.

The final nail in the coffin shocker for me was that Trump could easily churn through people by firings until he found a complete lackey or appoint one.

I don’t blame the voters.

I do. They lost sight of what was valuable and fell for promises from a huckster who showed in his first term that he could not deliver. Just what did they vote on? Inflation and immigration? We didn't lose by that much so that means the wishy-washy voters that like to call themselves independent went with Trump.

But it was apparent going into the stretch that Biden wasn't going to win. I found myself questioning my contribution strategy - it's hard to send in money when you see you're losing.

Did the Democrats do a poor job? Yes. But something happened to Biden in that six to eight months before the debate.

Pork Chop,

You said "guardrails" again.

Which "guardrails" are you talking about?

It's a fictitious term.
