No order of importance, all points are equally important, as concise as I can deliver.
1)I hope the spectacular financial success and freedom my family has enjoyed the past 32 years continues forever.
2) Warren and Charlie have been laser focused on preparing BRK for the next 50 years. Given their 60+ years of insane outperformance, the decision to “bet” on their future vision is an easy one for me.
3)To be perfectly honest, I have no where else to go. BRK represents basically the entire equity positions of our family. I trusted Warren and Charlie, bought into their ethos, valued the benefits that BRK ownership was designed to deliver, and never wavered or was tempted to follow the “next big thing”. I’m good at this (BRK ownership, it's simple, but NEVER easy)) I’m not hot to trot for something new.
4)I believe BRK is close to bombproof on the downside. Warren says “they key to investing success is to never lose money.” Charlie said “At Berkshire, our reserves have reserves.”
5) Charlie said very clearly that "if you are ever fortunate enough to have invested in a compounding machine, never interrupt that machine in any way."
I’m planning on holding on to all my shares for a minimum of 5 years. This has always been my personal benchmark on the minimum time that must be allowed to pass before passing judgment on the success or failure of any investment decision.
Happy New Year to All!

Good list!
I’ve owned Berkshire long enough for me to get old, and I now feel like my brain has atrophied to the point that I would not be able to find anything any better if I tried.
So I will hold Berkshire and a good slug of cash into my final days, and hope that the new management team doesn’t screw things up!

That's a nice summary....27 years for me....don't know where else to go....BRK half of our investable assets...will just leave it alone until needed for retirement income.
I think about diversifying away from BRK now and again...but never do anything.

As someone who will humbly admit that I "de-worse-ified", I can calculate to the penny how much poorer I am as a result. I stare at that number as a constant reminder.
