Abel's filing to likely move on from KHC gives me great cause for optimism.
Less than 3 full weeks after he took over, he sent a clear signal to shareholders and the world that he was beginning to clear out major Dead Wood.
For better or worse, this is a move that WEB and Charlie were unlikely to make.
I don't think this pacing is a one time fluke, someone that starts fast will continue to act with urgency.
I think it's very possible there will be dozens of corporate moves this year to reset BRK after 60 years of "hands off" management.
I'm hopeful that Greg is able to contribute in a multitude of ways, ALL WHILE MAINTAINING THE FORTRESS LIKE BALANCE SHEET, CONSERVATIVE AND ETHICAL BEHAVIOR, and all of the other ethos that contributed to the spectacular success that Berkshire and its shareholders have enjoyed for the past 60 years.
And let's not forget the best thing Greg has going for him....he was handpicked by Warren and Charlie!
