Trump will get blamed ----- but punishment is more important.

Trump set a trap for the dims.
If they don't vote for the CR, they own the shutdown. Oh, they'll blame Trump, but they're the ones not voting for it.

But you know what that means?

Trump gets to pick what in the (remaining) government gets any money.
