Interesting article. The current administration is making it difficult for the US to attract and keep global talent (not mentioned, but also global students). A quick look at the names of the innovators and leaders of our tech industry is an indication of how important immigrants have been. There are certainly some very smart US born tech people, but many import models have risen to the top.

This is well known and is a comparison to the Red states vs Blue states in a wide variety of areas, particularly abortion. Red states mostly banned abortion, so most ob/gyn doctors left those states for mostly Blue states. Other barriers in medicine also exist in Red states, so they have a greater shortage of medical care providers AND research (i.e. IVF and related technologies).

Plus, young professionals are choosing to avoid Red states for the above-cited reasons when given employment opportunities. Blue states offer far more personal life choices than Red states.

The DOJ can not get law school grads to join them. The wheels of "justice"??? may be slowing. Good timing for that.

Why do they need REAL law school grads? There are TONS of wannabe law schools churning out pseudo-qualified grads. Guess who the DOJ will hire....
