That was encouraging to read, am very glad to learn that people in power are not going
to just lie down for Trump. MAGA is thumbing it's nose at the Law, and the Constitution.
Everybody else, whether Dems, Indies, Libs, Moderates etc, needs to understand that the
Little Lord Fauntleroy conduct ( excessively polite ) is going to get us nowhere but
bum rushed out the street on our butts. Luv what Newsom and his team are doing with the
taunts,oops I mean tweets lol, directed at the orange menace. It appears that a lot of
American voters have a rather juvenile need for a show of power. So to hell with trying to
reason with them, appeal to them with the same lines of bullshit Trump spews,lol.
I think a lot of us on this board come from blue collar backgrounds, maybe roamed a lot
of streets in their younger days, learned how to spot con artists and thugs from a
mile away. Hate that it's this way, but we have to use those street smarts, collectively,
to beat down the bully Trump. He sure as hell ain't going to change, and as evidenced by
the Trump sychophant's on this board, neither is MAGA.

That is part of the interesting but dismal predicament we've gotten ourselves into. Our institutions and processes operated on norms, customs, some embedded in legalese, supposed "guardrails" too. I wonder if there are more of these that I have forgotten. Once Powel is replaced, all the guardrails are gone except for the courts (as far as I can see). The President can change things an awful lot and by the time it gets to the USSC, they allow it partially, or in full. It's opaque where we are, and I see that as, "Warning Will Robinson! Warning! Warning!" My hackles are up. I'm going to get more involved with the Democratic Party, and at least part of that is to have someone to talk to about it.
