The few times where Sheeple dares to actually discuss politics, versus just quoting the Bubble Liberal Silo media links du jour, Sheeple is unable to admit anything if his own side is wrong or mistaken, and the best you'll get is "both sides do it".
And that's fine. Tribalism and polarization thrives on Sheeples - on both sides - and as someone who loves watching all that is going on I sort of depend on those types.
One thing that indeed 'Both sides do' is not take a hint. They don't get it when they've lost on a certain issue, and that using up political capital on a non winning battle is stupid.
*Gay Marriage. I remember loudly saying in the late 2000's that gay marriage is the future. I fired how the Bush twins as just one example of the next generation came out for it and to this day I feel 2012 was winnable for the GOP. The recovery was still not felt and many younger voters might have gone mitt, butt for his anti-gay marriage stance. Again I'm not arguing for or against it - I was just saying, the debate was DONE, the Left won, it's over and move on.
Today....this moment....there's a few such issues:
1.)Illegal Immigration.
MAGA WON. IT'S OVER. Stop with the "well we tried to pass a bill and trump stopped it". No. In your dumbass culture perception is reality. The Left needs to realize: Sanctuary cities. Abuse of asylum laws, etc -- the only political win now is zero tolerance. God forbid stand and show emotion when parents of victims of illegal immigrants are at the SOTU speech. Stop shouting 'anti immigrant' and demand the wall be even taller, so to speak.
2.)He/Him/They/Them
Again, stop it. Respecting people? Protecting people from hate? Sure. BUT the Left has LOST on the pronoun stuff. Stop it. You are LOSING important things in the name of defending things that aren't gonna make it and just aren't worth it. Penis means boy. Va-Jay-Jay is a girl. End of story case closed. Girls play on girl teams. Use girl bathrooms. Same for boys. Stop Progressive Extremists from screwing with the world on this issue.
Don't believe me ? Fine, you're right to be a Progressive Extremist in your bubble - as extreme as Jerry Falwell. But then don't cry Putin, Signal, Democracy, etc. You gave the elections away ----over these 2 issues.
3.)SOCIAL SECURITY. MEDICARE. MEDICAID.
Republicans, the Dems won big. It's over. A majority of Americans WANT these programs preserved as we know them and even bolstered in some cases. Just like the Left should insist on a bigger wall, the Right should insist on higher taxes on higher incomes to fund more Social Security and Medicare.
Just like they gave MAGA the election over lost issues, OUR side seems hell bent on doing the same. Stop with the "I dont believe in tax cuts" ----yeah yeah you used to shout "my convictions!" and "free trade!" when you were on the same side as Hillary Clinton on trade. Leave the "my convictions" shit for the American flag graphics on the cable channel or podcast du jour.
Truth is that Red States NEED these programs as much as or MORE than Blue States do. The NEW voters you got under MAGA want those programs to stay as is.
Stop the orthodoxy. Stop giving away your political capital for something that is never gonna happen and if it DOES happen, that means you "succeeded" at cutting these programs, and that means that Majority Leader AOC is your doping.
If there's any thinking people ---who like to win elections ----think about it a moment ;)

High humor, Dope. None of us gets out of this world alive and few of us go out with 20/20 vision.
Around our house, “Dear, have you seen my glasses?” is spoken often and equally by both of us.
Going into a room and then forgetting why I went there elicits laughter rather than concern, because tomorrow, sheknows she may do the very same thing.
Today, we were going to put Preen down on our garden beds. It was supposed to be 60 degrees. Instead, it’s 52, the wind is blowing and the first patter of rain sent us back inside.
“Tomorrow, we intoned together. “It’s supposed to hit 70.”
So we’re going out for Mexican food instead.

We seldom look for our glasses. We always have them on our faces. They're progressives, so for all distances. Occasionally, we misplace sunglasses. But that's not common. I leave my sunglasses either in my little pack, or in the car. I only lose them if 1poorlady is trying to be helpful and picks them up. Her purse is a black hole where things can get lost for a while. :-)
At some point (probably in about 5 years), the ophthalmologist has said I will need cataract surgery. I suspect I will opt for my current situation (myopia). I'm used to it, and will need progressive regardless. Close-up focus is fine. 1poormom opted for one eye myopia and one eye hypermetropia. Apparently the brain can adjust to that after a few weeks. But that still doesn't eliminate the need for glasses, so why do that?

I got cataract surgery around 6 years ago. I had no idea how dingy my visions had become and was stunned by all the colors. I'm not a candidate for progressives, but like it just fine. If I blink as few times I can see text fuzzily with my 3.5 eyeglasses, but I can't really read wiithout them. As long as I can see to drive and can read the signs I'm happy. I get glasses at 4 for $15 so plenty of spares.
Before the cataract surgery the vision test for driving limited me to driving during the day. The cataract lenses give starry lines radiating out from lights, which I adjusted to. As long as I can drive, walk around, and read I'm content.
