Wonder how many of the people who post here...actually live in hard core blue areas?

I live in deep red Utah. It didn't used to be dominated by one party, but in the 40 years I've lived here it has gone from about 50/50 GOP/DEM to solid GOP, with only a handful of Dems in the state legislature. And our Reps and Senators aren't just conservative, they are far right.

Partly due to the influence of the Mormon Church but also due to the Republican primary caucus system here which selects the most far right of the possible candidates.
