Consumer prices in March saw the largest monthly gain since 2022 as the US-Israel war against Iran sent gas prices skyrocketing past $4 a gallon.

Headline Consumer Price Index (CPI) inflation clocked in 3.3% higher than a year ago while rising 0.9% on a monthly basis in a rapid acceleration from February’s levels, according to Labor Department data released Friday. Economists surveyed by Bloomberg had anticipated a 3.4% increase from a year ago and 0.9% from a month prior.

Wow, that came out of nowhere! Everyone is saying that no one could have predicted it. We have the best inflation anyone has ever seen. Everyone is saying it.

This is what happens when you elect an incompetent ignoramus. It’s only going to get worse.

Everything Trump touches dies.

"Many consumers blame the Iran conflict for unfavorable changes to the economy."

Oh, really? What would make them think that?

most consumers, but not gop. trumpedo still has >75% approval there, a group that already rate tariffs and ICE as a huge win, and is now past their attention. but this doesnt bother me.

what does bother me is that approval will go back to 99% for whoever is trump's replacement...and not because gop cognition improved.
