Getting India and Pakistan to knock it offUmm...
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a phone call with Trump, asserted that the ceasefire was a result of direct talks between the Indian and Pakistani militaries and that India has a longstanding policy of not accepting third-party mediation in its relationship with Pakistan. Dope1:
Stopping the war in the Congo <--- libs have zero idea on this oneA peace that does not include M23 is no peace at all but it doesn't stop Mad King Donald from patting himself on the back.

His role as the intermediary between Israel/Iran and Israel/HamasUmm. Mad King Donald bombed Iran, hardly the action of a candidate for the Nobel Peace Prize. And he has suggested that Palestinians should be forced to relocate from Gaza to other countries. He has also mentioned the possibility of the U.S. taking over and developing Gaza into a "Riviera of the Middle East."
Dope1:
His role in getting Putin to the peace tableWhat now?
Russia has increased the frequency of its attacks on Ukraine since May when it launched a summer offensive in the conflict, now in its fourth year. It has also ramped up its production of drones: In June alone Moscow launched 2,736 Shahed kamikaze drones at Ukraine, the country’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in an address to the parliament of the Netherlands on Tuesday. In addition, the Kremlin continues to launch dozens of missiles at Ukraine.Dope1

Dope1: Getting India and Pakistan to knock it off
Dope, did you really fall for that horseshit?
Trump has become the premier virtual photobomber.
Somebody, somewhere makes a deal, or didn’t make a deal, and Trump claims he made the deal happen.
And very often, there was no deal at all.

It's just lovely how all of these problems are European and European created.
Wish there was a way to let Putin have it - in return for him leaving us the hell alone and vice versa.
Nice to fantasize if nothing else.

And Dope has instructed us on Iran’s attacks on the US and how awful that supposed ‘nuclear deal’ was.
Indeed. The only people who thought Iran was holding to that “deal” were the antisemites in the Obama admin that drafted it in the first place. Of course they probably didn’t mind if Iran got - and perhaps used - the bomb.

The deal delayed Iran getting the bomb, no one thought Iran wouldn't eventually get a bomb, but a 15-20 year delay was a good idea, we could deal with the problem later, and perhaps put it off even further. But when Trump departed the deal, Iran started up again in earnest. A two year delay now puts us closer to Iran getting a bomb than under the Obama deal. The situation is not improved, it's worse than under Obama. Of course your capacity to pretend otherwise is infinite, so you have that on your side.

The “deal” was idiotic. It made no mention of Iran’s ballistic missiles program and support of terrorism globally. It had no teeth. And it gave Iran pallets of cash to be used however it wanted.
Only the extremely naive or antisemitic thought it was worth the paper it was printed on. Even the IAEA eventually threw up their hands.
You people lack any ability to understand technical topics and the motivations of our enemies. You believe everything in the world is Trump’s fault.
But it’s not him. It’s you.

That would be the people that insisted on this stupid deal in the first place. Goes double for those that to this day insist that it was the right thing to do.
When faced with that kind of denial of reality, it's not a stretch to make extrapolations from there.

When you have to make up your own statement and then agree with it, you are carrying on a dialogue with yourself.
Folks who do that usually think they are engaged in conversation with the smartest person in the room.

Are you claiming that all of you are closet conservatives? That'd be interesting.
Although I suspect that deep down you people know that the progressive cliff the democrats have driven off of is a really bad idea and that the nuttier elements of your party have way too much influence right now. It's just a matter of encouraging you all to admit it.

Nope. I’m claiming you have a long history of claiming to be able to speak for those you disagree with, by reframing what they say into something that bears no resemblance to what they actually said.

Actually, no.
I've long discussed the possibility of adopting a different name and arguing from the left wing side.
What you don't like is me spelling out the implications of what you people and your politicians say. Collectively the left just doesn't like being on record at all - for anything - because that requires some ability to stand up for what one believes. But since the left is a collect mass of contradictions...you guys just can't do it.
So you say stuff that's vague, not supported by reality...and generally leads to bad outcomes. But the vagueness is your ticket for you to be able to claim years later things like "I was never for an open border!" or (my favorite) "The police were never defunded!".
It's so much easier to avoid accountability and reflection that way.

Driving in the 90s, I listened to Limbaugh for several years- primarily because he was funny, but his humor depended on doing exactly that- reframing what liberals said into something that bore no resemblance to what they actually said.
And the point was not to generate only laughter, but most importantly- hatred and contempt.
Of course the thing I remember most about him was his insistence that his audience consisted of conservative, independent thinkers, and he called them “dittoheads”, which is what they also called themselves, showing no awareness that the joke was on them.
Rush, as much as anyone, contributed to lack of critical thinking on the right, and the rise of Trumpism as the anti- democratic cancer it has become.

And what a travesty to give that asshole propagandist the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
Early on his radio show actually had some real humor (unusual for the right), but it was because he had hired writers who knew how to craft a joke. Later, he found he could just rely on his venom to keep the audience engaged and after that he was seldom funny.
