If you ever find yourself contemplating some DIY around the house, I recommend checking this YouTuber out first. Search his channel for whatever it is you are going to do. Most likely he has done it and will you teach you better ways to accomplish the task at hand.

I have never checked this particular guy out, but I depend on YouTube for all repairs, even those I intend to hire out. I find that researching the project allows me to talk more intelligently to the contractors, ask tough questions, and weed out those who probably don't know what they are doing, convince those trying to scam me that it is better to go on to a different mark.

One caveat is that I would recommend watching several posters on the topic, and reading any comments below. Not all YouTubers do it right, and multiple videos can help prevent you latching on to the wrong approach.

Absolutely, you can never learn enough about DIY projects. I like your idea of developing good questions for contractors you might hire.
