Get yourself a copy of the audiobook of his memoirs, All About Me! My Remarkable Life in Show Business. He reads it, and it is wonderful, so funny, but with heartbreaking parts as well. Your public library probably has it through Libby, Hoopla or one of the other services. Or you can toss Mel a shekel and buy it. I buy a lot of my audio books through libro.fm which supports my local bookstore. I avoid using the South American river store except for books they have exclusive rights to, but that's me.
