John Hickenlooper of Colorado — who has not called on Biden to drop out — told Semafor that other Democrats may be waiting until after the NATO summit to voice complaints for fear of undermining the president in a national security setting, something Pelosi and others have also mentioned.
He also had a theory why there hadn’t been more visible activism on Biden’s behalf around the Capitol.
“I think many senators are listening to their constituents,” he said. “We’ve had, in the last week or so, over 3,000 emails, phone calls in Colorado. These are people that are not donors. These are not elite. They’re not in the Beltway. They’re running 90-10 against the president. So if I really wanted to piss them off, I could come out and say how great this campaign is going. I’m not sure I believe that.”The dam is broken, especially if more Congressctritters are hearing 90/10 against Biden.

Oh I hope so. In fact the *perfect* time to announce it would be next Tuesday, during the Republican convention. It would take the focus completely off the Republicans, as even they would start playing “Who’s it gonna be”? And the media would be filled with “Democrats in the news” rather than “a boring Republican coronation.”
It would also probably come too late for Trump to readjust his VP pick, if such a thing was necessary, and would entirely creampie the convention schedule.
Yeah, I’d let the Republicans have the first day to lull them into a false sense of security. Then announce it maybe Monday night or Tuesday morning, and watch the feathers fly!

PLEASE DO THIS.
PLEASE.
You guys have had it so easy for so long, you have no idea how a hostile and questioning media environment works, do you?

I'm happy with it. Yes, we do understand hostile media, so we don't try and attract it. Y'all revel in it.
