The Surge is written in a humorous style but when it is quoting Trump, it is still hard to believe.

When he lies like this:

There was nobody at the plane, and she ‘A.I.’d’ it, and showed a massive ‘crowd’ of so-called followers, BUT THEY DIDN’T EXIST!” he wrote on Sunday afternoon, right around lunch service at the club. “She had NOBODY waiting, and the ‘crowd’ looked like 10,000 people! Same thing is happening with her fake ‘crowds’ at her speeches.”

It shows how confident he is in the ignorance of his MAGA base. He knows they will believe (or just not care about) any lie he tells. It makes it very easy for him to manipulate them.

It also tears his guts out to hear that Harris has bigger crowds. What a petty little narcissist.
