Did you miss the link I included on the arrests of the organized smash-and-grab retail theft ring in Southern California or intentionally overlook it because it proves your claim a lie?

Much of this lawlessness can be linked to Proposition 47, a California ballot initiative passed in 2014, under which theft of less than $950 in goods is treated as a nonviolent misdemeanor and rarely prosecuted.

You can steal whatever you want in California under a certain amount. Your linky says they got 1 ring. Good for them.

Too bad there are hundreds more out there.
