Ciao8, I like your frame/perspective. Essentially we are looking at a chronological map of what human civilization valued most at different stages over the last century. Whether that infrastructure is a factory floor, an oil pipeline, a highway system of superstores, or a server farm.

That's only their list by revenue, not profit/assets/market cap or value. So it's perhaps more a map of what sort of thing folks have spent the most money on.

From that point of view, it would be interesting to see a list over time of the company with the highest *US source* revenue, so it's directly comparable: the king of gringo pocketbooks.
