The defensee of thee government's tariffs seems to be based on the extortion-like phrase "do you really want to take our last big sourcee of funds away?".

The incompetence involved in levying the tariffs is even worse. These judgements should never be divorced from the context and realities that the tariffs were not devised by a sound mind.
