One senior defense official, quoted anonymously by The Hill, did not hold back and said, “Secretary hegseth's misogynistic lethality screed was disqualifying. His continued railing against women in combat roles shows his deep personal inadequacies," said the first defense official. "It shocks the conscience to hear the Secretary of Defense, he is no warrior, endorse bullying and hazing of service members. How dare this former National Guard major lecture our military leaders on lethality when he's focused solely on his own cult of personality.” This unusually direct criticism illustrates the extent to which his leadership is alienating career officers who see these policies as regressive.

Ever see a Naval aviation pilot recruiting film "Pressure Point"? The bellowing Gunny image portrayed is real. I had business in the admin building in Pensacola one day. I came down the wing of the building, to the quarter deck. Gunny had an airdale wannabe, in his PT gear, at attention, in the middle of the quarterdeck, as Gunny bellowed, and bellowed, and bellowed. I kept my mouth shut, eyes straight ahead, and kept going, fast, past the quarterdeck, and out the door at the end of the opposite wing of the building. I didn't want to impinge on Gunny's stream of consciousness.

"Pressure Point" was remade in the 90s. This 1970ish version is the one I remember, from so long ago, I had hair.
