If someone appears to be repeatedly personal, lean towards patience as they might not mean offense. If you are sure, however, then do not deepen the problem by being negative; instead, simply place them on ignore by clicking the unhappy yellow face to the right of their name.

We barely made it 250 years before stupidity and avarice overtook us.

In a mass media, electronic age, trends just move faster

What's really scary is that with modern technology, once a democracy fails it is really hard to get it back. Look at China, or DPRK, or even Russia. They're all making Orwell a reality. We have some control over how technology is used in a democracy, but none with an autocratic state.

China may even sell us some of their technology. They have that “modern security state” thing down pat.

<insert droning on aand on about Obama and FISA warrants….. sorry guys- not even remotely comparable, any more than a paper airplane is comparable to an F-35.)
