While interviewing Andrew Cuomo today on Fox "News," Maria Bartiromo wondered if Mamdani will "change the look of New York" and have Muslim women "completely covered up," and Cuomo plays from the racist hand she's dealing, telling her that Mamdani "doesn't understand New York culture, the New York values" because he has "dual citizenship" and "he was a citizen of Uganda."
Umm. Mamdani moved to the United States at about age 7, and grew up on the Upper West Side of Manhattan in New York City.

Fox has been fanning racism for years. I have posted before the time O'Reilly had John McCain on. O'Reilly went on this tirade about how the NYT and the left want to "change the complexion" of the US, and overthrow the white, male, power structure.
Fox has been nurturing bigotry along the two most obvious identity lines, race and religion, for decades. I contend it is possible to be a "populist" without the toxic bigotry that Fox, and the GOP, embrace.
