the pattern has become beyond obvious, but it seems mainstream media itself cannot grok it.

every shooting is a fervent dream for a bonanza of rightwing propaganda, and there are no signs of a shortage

if the perp is on the right (which seems to be a coinflip, even with the gun-love factor)
- and the victim is on the right, the gop will offer up some dubious glory (martyrdom, ironically), and quickly move on to the next entertainment (drug boats and such)
- and if the victim is on the left, there is some minor celebrating, but nowhere near the payoff a perp on the left would yield

MAGA's tears are actually for the wasted opportunity, and Kirk himself would be monetizing were it someone else.
