I’ll make a small prediction.

If Balogun doesn’t play, the U.S. will win. Good teams are noted for picking up the slack when a star can’t play.

If Balogun plays, they will lose. Belgium will step up. No one likes a cheat (except other cheaters).

having former career ties to both countries, i was neutral and just wanted to see a competitive game.
this was not that.

USA was in a tough spot.
they also dream of this their whole lives and want to win. many of them probably know both FIFA and trump are permanently corrupt.

and if USA turned down the redcard reversal, trump would have clearly made them scapegoat LOSERS.
trump can still use the loss to demonstrate how birthright citizenship is undeserved...when combined with a few other redmeat criteria.
but maybe the country gets a break and he can go back to cheating at golf to fulfill his sports quota.
