To all the folks who think Trump is a doofus, why do you think he has been dragging his feet on releasing the Epstein files?
This bill was introduced by a Democrat, passed by the House with only one NO vote, passed by the Senate the next day, and signed by the President that same day. Now nobody can claim that Trump released the files just to embarrass Democrats.
Trump is more of a creep than a doofus. But regardless, the files are never being released. Seeing that they were losing the previous
ploy, they came up with a new genius idea - open an investigation and have the AG decide that it’s illegal to release files that are part of an ongoing investigation, and drag that investigation until 2035.
