Frankly, don't care given the illegal actions and violations of civil rights (e.g. due process). It certainly wasn't worth the cost.
Hopefully, the next POTUS will reverse course and start respecting rule of law again.
IMO, that's far more important than any reduction in border crossings (or other outcome that under legal circumstances would be considered favorable).

In May 2025, the Border Patrol encountered 8,725 illegal aliens crossing the southwest border between ports of entry. The reporti8ng doesn't include the number of admissible crossings at ports of entry and differentiate down to if any were aliens requesting asylum. Entering correctly was a policy of the Biden Admin which allowed the to expel those crossing the border between ports of entry. But Trump did stop the plane flights.
But you aren't being humane. ICE is picking up and detaining people who've been allowed in from Afghanistan, interpreters who worked for us, and have a very credible threat to their lives if they go back to Afghanistan. It is difficult to ascertain if their case is being heard by a neutral magistrate, and there was no known reason to pick them up in the first place. This seems to be happening in multiple ways across the board.
We agree on criminals, but they still get due process, and I want due process to protect my wife who is here on a green card.
