Most of these men and women - were very smart. Very accomplished. No no I don't mean some over-rated advanced degree where they got a 401K, fly first class, think they are something when they are just a career maggot who bows to their boss and overlord then come to this board to say "I'm a rich white male" - lol - no, not those wannabes.
But these are men who truly had power. Wealth. Or access to one or the other or both and they KNOW how media works.

I'm nowhere near these guys but back in the mid 2000s when I figured - screw this - I'm gonna opt out and watch you people punish each other. The "creative" financial stuff I did - was considerable for a small fry like me and man. Myself. or the few people who assisted NEVER SAID ONE WORD in my office or within my company or home or even car. If "Olive Garden" was in a message, well, a convo was had over breadsticks and chicken parm -- but no cameras or microphones, no texting no email. If "bob evans" was said - we knew STFU and let's do it over pancakes. And I took you people for a nice chunk of change -- no redistributing my shit for your bad-culture caused moochers and jealousy.
Pictures? Recordings? Shit no.
So if an uneducated yum yum like me was that careful---- how can Presidents, CEOs, etc - be so careless.

And by using the word "you" you are somehow including me in with those people who took advantage of you? Sounds like you probably structured something so as to not pay taxes or qualify for social security and are resentful and think you are taking from me now? You are using the word "you" again.
Well, I'm not resentful. I'm not mooching from anybody. No one mooched off of me. (Well, one person did. :) ) I don't resent you being able to provide for yourself in your old age, and what I wish for you is to have no resentments. Lapsody you asked me a respectful question, thanks. So hopefully I can be equally sincere here: Pause to re-calibrate myself lol.
Lapsody, I used to think differently. I used to be *proud* to pay taxes ($200k per year, multiple years) I felt - if we all max out for potential per our desires, and then pay some back into the system, hey, we all win. Then I started seeing the racist Liberal attacks on TMF. Also, I kept hearing the same old "tax the rich" stuff from Club 401K - while they loved every AMT reform, 401K advantage, etc. I got sick of hearing "you didn't build that, someone else did it for you" and finally, culture. I strongly believed that bad culture will lead to more suffering, more need for government revenue and or debt. People less qualified, more needy...a double hit if you wil. (Read (D) Patrick Moynihan's stuff....if u haven't). And in return I just got personally attacked. Finally, in the mid 2000s after hearing those attacks - I decided to embrace illegal immigration and profit from it as a secondary enterprise. I openly did it in those days.
Anyhow, I got sick of the "tax the rich" mentality. The jealous. The envy. The meanness of It from people who did NOT want to pay more themselves, when they certainly could. And I felt the nation is going down - albeit not instantly but slowly.
And finally, my upper management nucleus - whom was with me since day one(20+ years almost no staff turnover), who relocated TWICE to different states with me, was approaching retirement. They paid off college tuitions, $100k weddings, mortgages all that stuff. And I was *not* about to participate with the younger generation labor force.....no way. No Logan, No Aidan, No Cassidy, No Logan. No pronouns. No crybaby shit. I was used to people who wanted to work hard, make fuck-loads of money the right ethical way, have good families, and - yeah - enjoy a few big lunches during the week (it was a 3 hour meeting for us twice a week .....hee hee. )
So - with the nucleus who was loyal to me all 'done' with their life goals. And once a few more people were taken care of (6 figures each, on taxpayer dime!!!!!!!!!) I sold my companies. Crushed one union. And for the last 5+ years I have gone from $100K automobiles to Amazon Basics sweat pants and diner specials :) We never bought any designer shit anyways. I miss being a big-shot in certain settings, I admit that. I certainly miss the money. But I love more - not giving a shit.

Good. I *am* mooching. My fat-ass is eating at Dunkin right now. And I 2026 means $1004 in monthly ObamaCare credits. Healthy people and taxpayers - are helping me be a mooch. Roads, infrastructure, projects? I'm a mooch - I've not paid a damn dime towards it for 5 years. Education? Ok, I pay state sales tax and a frick-load of property taxes so maybe I'm not mooching there --but I'm appreciative of all the great advanced-AP shit one of my kids gets, and I'm even more thankful for the Special-Ed stuff that one of my other kids get.
Resentful? Perhaps. It's more resigned to seeing the stubborn be punished by their own ways. Yes I celebrate it is here but deep down, sometimes, I feel bad about it when I knew, and KNOW it could be so much better. Trust me Lapsody---I used to feel quite different about things. In all honesty - I'd say - my guts (where it comes to things geopolitical and societal) are 20% resentful, 70% wistful. 10% mean - in that - let them fuck themselves they are good at that lol)
Personally? I'm fortunate. 10-20% regretful that I cashed out early. That my kids will have to probably 'work' for someone and won't get to see me being a business owner and thriving. They go to school and it's normal to see Benz, Bentley, Rovers in the pick-up line. Many Wall Street partners (we see a few on tv all the time) and I feel bad that my kid's dad ain't one of them....but they also know there's a reason why Dad doesn't work but they can still go on vacations, get college paid for, etc 80% -- life is happy and good. Kid 1 starts college next year (lol I never went). Kid 2 has challenges but shows smarts too. Wifey of 20+ years looks tasty (though closed minded. I'm never allowed to try that, that, or especially that).
So Lapsody, I hardly walk around upset.
Just some of the Club 401K'ers.....deserve to know and see daily - that the punishment is here. Even though their itty bitty portfolios make them bigshots in their mind - it's THEIR stances that now have permanently damaged things. And yeah, I love rubbing it in :) It's free fun.
As an aside Lapsody - I've written numerous, glowing things about anyone from Reagan to Clinton to Obama to Biden. My favorite Senators would be anyone from (R) Bob Smith to (D) David Boren Sr to (D) Fritz Hollings to (D) M Warner to (R) Inhofe. I've voted for the likes of Donald Trump, Joe Biden, and Ross Perot in my lifetime.
Politically, anyone can try to judge just how partisan I am :)
