....if they are the wrong color:
Yesterday Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, police chief Mark Bruley told reporters that the police were getting repeated complaints about violations of civil rights by ICE and that ICE agents were stopping off-duty police officers of color. He recounted that ICE agents had stopped an off-duty police officer, demanded her paperwork—she is a U.S. citizen—and then held her at gunpoint. When she tried to film the interaction, they knocked the phone out of her hand. Finally, when she identified herself as a police officer, they got in their vehicles and left.https://heathercoxrichardson.substack.com/p/januar...Because "Law and Order"

Bullshit.
Publicly identify the police officer claiming that this actually happened, the way this Chief cop says it did--without any provocation by the off-duty officer.
Did she shove her cell phone in the ICE officer's FACE like a smart-ass leftist punk, you know--like "BECCA" DRIVE BABY DRIVE did?
She claims she was ASSAULTED and suffered a BATTERY.
Did she file an incident report or a complaint? If not, why not?
The Chief should FORCE her to do so as one of her duties as a Minnesota LEO, and should seek prosecution of the allegedly criminal ICE officer.
Otherwise, it's just more leftist bullshit and lies.

From your link to (who else?) Heathen Crock Rickettson:
"Yesterday Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, police chief Mark Bruley told reporters that the police were getting repeated complaints about violations of civil rights by ICE and that ICE agents were stopping off-duty police officers of color. He recounted that ICE agents had stopped an off-duty police officer, demanded her paperwork—she is a U.S. citizen—and then held her at gunpoint. When she tried to film the interaction, they knocked the phone out of her hand. Finally, when she identified herself as a police officer, they got in their vehicles and left.
“This isn’t just important because it happened to off-duty police officers,” Bruley said, but because “our officers know what the Constitution is, they know what right and wrong is, and they know when people are being targeted, and that’s what they were. If it is happening to our officers, it pains me to think [of] how many of our community members are falling victim to this every day.” "
*********
I guess Chief Bruley is totally incompetent. He actually has a direct report from one of his officers that she is a victim of an assault and battery.
And does NOTHING about it. Except whine to the media. Why hasn't a criminal complaint been filed? And of course, did the media ask probing questions and try to fact-check this nonsensical story? I doubt it.
Minnesota local law enforcement sounds completely worthless to do their jobs. No wonder ICE is so sorely needed there.

That’s certainly your argument. But it’s really no argument.
It’s merely blowing smoke.

Additionally, if the ICE officer(s) pulled a gun or guns on her, with absolutely no cause to do so (as Bruley and Richardson want us to believe,) that's a lot more serious of a crime then the simple assault and battery of knocking the phone out of her hand.
So, Bruley as the Chief of Police knows that there are ICE agents unlawfully pulling guns and threatening U.S. citizens and he's doing nothing about it as Chief of Police. Press conferences DO NOT COUNT. He's supposedly a law enforcement officer, not head of P.R. for the Department.
Surrrrrrrrre. (Dr. Evil Voice) Rigggghhhhhht.
Name names--of the perpetrator and the alleged complainant--and do your job, or STFU and GTFO and let the feds do their jobs.

It's not my argument Rev. Baloney.
It's called "information" which the press did not seek from the Chief.
What's your explanation for the Chief of Police doing nothing at all to apprehend and prosecute a rogue LEO who pointed a gun at someone with absolutely no cause to do so?
Answer that smart ass.

Ice should defund the police.

I heard ICE's next target is Maine. If I were the Maine governor, I would consult my advisors on having the national guard meet the plane and refuse to let them of the tarmac. "Get back on your plane and go home."

I posted a video, several days ago, of multiple metro area police chiefs, talking about multiple officers, having the same experience, at the hands of ICE officers. As we know, ICE officers conceal their identities, so who, specifically, would the rousted police officers complain about?
Yeah, you're right. All the policemen are Commies. Put all the local police in prison, along with the Mayors and Gov. Declare martial law, and bring in the army to crack some heads and teach everyone a lesson.
/sarcasm
On the wire yesterday, Maine is the next state to be targeted.

Why not rename the airport Ft. Sumpter while you’re at it?
(ME’s gov won’t do that. As the command authority over the Guard the governor would be subject to arrest).

Steve203: Maine is the next state to be targeted.
There are around 5,800 undocumented immigrants in Maine, making up about 0.4% of the state's population.
But Maine does have a democratic governor.

ME’s gov won’t do that.
Almost certainly not. They respect rule of law, at least somewhat. So, any actions they take will likely be through the courts. Problem is, their opponents don't. And make no mistake, at this point the Feds (POTUS, ICE, etc) are the opponents of just about everyone, because they do not respect civil rights and the Constitution. Without that, we are subject to the whim of the leader.
But it would make a powerful statement, and maybe shake people out of their apparently slumbers.

According to the net sifter, there are about 2M illegals in Texas, about 7-8% of the population. Why do we not hear about the same sort of thing going on in Texas, as we see in Minnesota? Are white Texans cheering ICE? Are there thousands of Kyle Rittenhouse wannabees running around Texas "helping"? Is the media making a point of ignoring it? Is the plan to only agitate in Blue states, then use the pushback as an excuse to declare martial law, so they don't have elections next fall?
For the record, Minnesota has 4 GOP Congressmen and 4 Dem Congressmen. Both Senators are Dems. One Senator's term is up in 26. She is not running for another term.
Ah, got it. Declare martial law only in the metro Minneapolis area, where all four Dem House seats are. Only let the outstate people vote, which is Trump country.

Gee I guess that explains why Minnesota police don't do anything when other people with guns point them at citizens and threaten or rob them.
Thanks for clarifying that.

What did the police chief do about it other than whine to the press?
Why are you simpletons so eager to let yourself be b.s.'ed by an obviously false, or at the least, incomplete story?
Was the off-duty officer at a protest?
We don't know.
Was she screaming at the ICE officers?
We don't know.
Was she blocking them from doing their jobs?
We don't know.
You just eat whatever they feed you, don't you.

ICE officers conceal their identity. Who are the rousted people going to complain about?
The regime says ICE officers have "absolute" immunity. What are local authorities going to do, even if they were able to ID ICE officers who rousted one of their officers?
Well, it's all academic. The regime is going to have it's way with Minneapolis, at gun point, if necessary.

O.K. so Steve, you're saying in Minneapolis, all a robber or other criminal has to do is hide his face, commit his assault, or burglary, or rape, or murder, and the Minnesota cops just throw up their hands and say:
"Sorry Ma'am, we know a guy with a mask pointed a gun at you and then raped you. However, THERE'S ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WE CAN DO ABOUT IT because the dude was wearing a MASK!!!! Ma'am, that's a total arch criminal and it's completely beyond our policing skills, or duty, to try to figure out who this perp was. Have a nice day!"
Oh yeah--neither the unidentified "victim" officer nor the Chief has filed a criminal complaint.
That's because it's b.s.

Oh yeah--neither the unidentified "victim" officer nor the Chief has filed a criminal complaint.
The difference, of course, is that Minneapolis PD can arrest a common criminal. They can't arrest Federal officers.
This story only broke a couple days ago, with several metro area Chiefs each reporting multiple cases of their officers being harassed. Lets see how long it takes to come to a boil. How much impact would you estimate a Civil Rights complaint by the metro Chiefs, about their officers being harassed, have with this Federal government? I estimate zero.

They can't arrest Federal officers.
They can arrest AND CHARGE them for state/local crime(s) committed by the "Federal" officers. No federal protection as committing crime(s) is NOT in their "job description".
No. of Recommendations: 2
I think you misunderstand Steve. Local police can arrest federal officers for committing state law crimes like assault and battery which is what the chief claimed happened.
They can't impede federal officers from enforcing federal law though.
But the first step to doing anything is to swear out a criminal complaint.
No, assuming there is any truth to the story, a police officer off duty who was engaging in activism on her own free time interfered with an ICE operation. She stuck a cell phone camera in an ICE agents face in an aggressive manner and the agent smacked it away. Then she told them she was an off duty cop. Then the encounter ended.
