From the NYT:

Employers continued to create jobs but pulled back on hiring, a sign that more businesses are putting expansion plans on hold as they deal with economic uncertainty.

The economy added 73,000 jobs last month, the Labor Department reported on Friday, lower than economists’ expectations. The unemployment rate slightly rose to 4.2 percent, up from 4.1 percent the month before.

In a sign that the labor market may not have been as robust as it seemed earlier this year, job gains from the past two months were also revised down by a total of 258,000, an unusually high number.

Jobs lower than expectations.

Unusually downward revision of prior months.

Unemployment slightly up.

Trump needs to find a way to 'control' the data. I'm sure he is working on that problem. Next: get a politicized Fed. We saw in the last Fed meeting how the only two who opposed the consensus were Trump appointees.

While I am certain some of the Trump policies have been VERY BAD, I don't put all of this on his changes. I do think AI is starting to eat into some of the higher paying jobs. This is just anecdotal based on my circle of friends, and would appreciate any statistical data...

As for the increasing number of bankruptcies…… you have to break a few eggs to make an omelette! You libs don’t know anything about business. Thank God our pedopresident does!


Even as we speak, he’s cooking those omelettes on the concrete parking lot that replaces the White House Rose Garden. Again, he understands EFFICIENT USE OF SPACE- unlike those rose bush hugging libs.
